has anyone on here supercharged their honda with a screw type or roots supercharger, I want to know if the engine looses any of its responsivenes or character for when i start tuning mine.

Well, i better start with that mine is actully a Rotrex, so not the Roots type you have mentioned, I assume you're going JR?

The Rotrex hasn't changed the feel of the engine much TBH, I'd say it feels almost factory, the boost builds with the revs and you feel it come in at around 4k properly, then along with the VTEC it makes for quick progress and holds all the way through the revs.

Unfortunately I can't comment on the JR ones, never driven one so TBH I'm not really much help to you hehe

I've had a JR one on my EP3 Type-R since around 2010. It's been bulletproof.

You lose the perceptible VTEC crossover as a consequence of using a Hondata KPro ECU, but the power just builds from early on in the rev range all the way up to the limiter.

Definitely highly recommended - you service the car as normal as it's a sealed unit that requires no maintenance.
