I was worried about ppf on a white car plus I’ve read it can really adhere strongly if left on for a few years, even taking off clear coat and paint.
I’m no expert detailer(although I do have 2 buckets and a mohair mitten ready!) but am interested in trying to apply a home ceramic coating rather than the ones the professionals use which take some skill to apply.
What ceramic coating do you use and can it be applied and cured outside? My garage doors are too narrow to get an FL5 in!

I just noticed it’s my dealership in Gloucestershire advertising a Rallye Red one at £55k.
It was for the number one contender on the list but he rejected it for some reason-I think funding problems. He or she may be kicking themselves now!

I think PPF has improved over the last decade and you’re unlikely to experience any issues with yellowing. I would also get it professionally removed. What ppf are you going for?From everything I’ve read it seems Xpel has good support/software for installers but is not so clear as STEK ppf.
Also Xpel supposed to have better adhesive according to one installer I know.

Both my local places use XPEL. Crazy difference in price though, £750 vs £1500 for the front bumper and bonnet. From everything I’ve read it seems Xpel has good support/software for installers but is not so clear as STEK ppf.

Throw in a set of mats? I I would be hoping he would throw in a suitcase with 5k in the boot.
It is getting out of hand , pre reg a car to the dealership , then ask 12k over msrp.

I have to say somewhat surprised HUK has not viewed this listing or circumstances behind it.
The price hike is shocking …
The limited runs aren't the manufacturers fault , its EU fleet emissions regs that gets them , BMW sell 2 million cars so can sell as many M3's as they can make , Honda selling just 10's of thousands in europe would be paying a fine for each type R if they sold to match demand.
The same situation affects that noted PH car the Suzuki Jimny
- I know the other half got one - they got around it by selling the Jimny as a 2 seat van but Suzuki dealers are all cute enough to pre-reg the £19K list Jimny commercials and then sell them on at circa £25K , the fact that any new shape Jimny regardless of year or mileage is still worth over £20K makes this sustainable for now.
Meddling in free markets always has unintended consequences - so here a rule intended to reduce emissions ends up restricting sales of one of the smallest and cleanest SUV's the Jimny , and one of the lightest, purest performance cars the Type R gets hit as well.

Most genuinely see it as a cash grab by Honda UK and there may be some merit in that, but those that understand the back story of Honda in recent times especially here in Europe it’s car showrooms are not blessed with variety or mass appeal.
So factors such as legislation, government attitudes to ICE Honda cannot simply roll out tens of thousands. HUK have made it perfectly clear numbers are limited possibly to no more than 1k units.
Added to the fact that Japan has sold out its allocation and the US being a territory that Honda wants to capitalize on, the outlook is bleak for UK mass numbers.
If you want an FL5 you will simply have to pay for it RRP or deal with the moron residing in Southport Honda … perish the thought
