Honda don't seem to have learned from their steering issues in past civics.

I had to have new steering fitted to my 03 Mk7 Civic, it would go notchy around the centre so wouldn't move until you applied more force and then it released with a jerk. The self-centring also was failing, you could drive round in circles with your hands off the wheel.

A common problem, but Honda didn't do anything unless the customer raised the issue and complained.

Experienced this for the first time today in my Type R. I’ll be contacting my dealer. Not great.

I’ve done some digging and it sounds like a new steering gearbox is needed to resolve the issue.

Would you mind mailing me on here about the issue with your FL5?... Would like to get some more information if possible, trying to gently push Honda UK to do something

Hi, I’ve documented pretty much everything on this thread, but if you have any specific question let me know. If you’re experiencing issues, I would be doing the opposite of gently pushing them wink

Sure, that would be great... do you have any paperwork from Honda (Dealership or UK) which you can share, also the reg no. of the vehicle, all helps build the picture against a complete Honda denial
