New Honda Civic type R anyone?

Drove a DC5 and it felt 'halfway', driving-wise, between the EP3 CTR and the DC2 ITR. Looks (inside and out) were the best of the 3, but it lost composure on a B-road (lot more torque-steer) and just didn't give you as much confidence as the DC2 as a result...
That said, some revised springs/dampers and a geometry tweak and it could well be a contender, I reckon...
...but if you're getting a 2nd car, it should be impractical, and either uber-fast, exotic, or a soft-top!!!

Ah ha, an S2000 you mean! Maybe, but also considering an Elise or a VX220. Have driven the VX and loved it. Ultimately I'd like an Evo 8 or 9, but think I need something smaller as a second car. I need to get out there and test drive my choices.VX a better drive than the S, but the wife wasn't so taken, so we got the S. S probably a better all-round car, esp. for a couple (boot surprisingly practical), but the VX was such fun to drive...and Turbo's are now affordable!!!
Evos?!? Like the idea, but I wanted to learn rwd without any driver aids...part of me thinks Evos do too much for you. Plus they're too practical and boring-looking.
Anyway, have fun looking, and let us know what you get...
Where are these affordable vx's, it seems like their asking more money than they were asking last year for them or is it just the summer. Heavier clams, heavier engine, dated interior/exterior looks etc you would think they would be a lot less than the s2 elise after all these cars are mostly about lightness aren't they. I'd still have one though.
I missed my test drive in the jdm type-r, has anyone driven one yet?
