How?

Tried googleing for it and not a lot comes up on the search results.

I'm desperate to change the head unit to my Sony GT300, so I can use my Ipod on the 3.5 jack and mp3 ds for when I don't want to lump the ipod around.

What model Civic is it? My 2005 (55) Type-S has an auxilary socket on the rear of the unit. One of the buttons on the unit is labelled "CD/AUX". Can this socket be used for what you want by utilising an extension lead to provide a remote socket?

It's a 1.6 Vtec Sport 55 (2005)
Identical to this one http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/2004-54-Honda-Civic-1-6-Vtec...

I don't even know how to get to the rear of the unit!

Neither do I! A friend did it for my in my last Honda. I'll have a look at it tomorrow (that's now today).

I'm gonna have another fiddle around see if I can get to the back of the unit by taking some of the panels off.

Any help is much appreciated!

The Sport headunit is similar to the Type R isn't it?

If so this "How to" might help you
