It's your money wink

I'd be looking at these two face lift cars (BTW don't get hung up on the hard top they are easy to retrofit)

They only did MCB on the Mk2's for a couple of years
Not all Nurby's have the blue interior some of the later ones had black.

The first one looks exceptionally good value but I really want a light colour for my s2k, the darker ones don't suit the car so IMO.

That light blue (MCB? Nurby?) still has the blue leather - I did manage to find one in the light blue with black/black inside.

I think my choice of colour would be the blue in the picture, then the light metallic blue, then the gun metal grey, which there seems to be loads of so I'd settle with one of those I expect.

I'm not overly fussed about a hard top tbh, colour, miles, price and age are all more important to me.
The top one was for sale at Christopher Neil a few months back - they may have some more info on the history. The other one at CN looks good, but £450 tax bracket which probably accounts for why its been for sale there for about a month...

Post March 2006 cars are in the "higher" band. Although they don't produce more C02, they just fall foul of the VED rules which means they are £450 rather than £270 I think.

Sky insurance were very competitive, especially if you are a member of the UK owners club

Anyone want to help me with my tyre choice. Mine is going to need a nice fresh set for the spring and I can't decide whether to stick with the OEM Bridgestones or try something different. I intend to give it a few spins on a track when the good weather comes but it's mainly going to be on roads. I've heard the Toyos are good but wear quickly and the Goodyear are good in the wet, but still can't decide whether anything warrants moving away from the stock Bridgestones for all round performance. Thoughts?

A lot of people go for Yokohama AD08's, a half way house between a normal road tyre and track car. Depends on your requirements I guess.

I've got Continental Sport 3's on mine, the car came with 4 almost new tyres, so it was hard to justify the cost to replace them. They are good, but the sidewalls are quite soft, I've read the S2000 needs a tyre with stiff sidewalls.

Im running Hankook S1 Evos, has contisport 3s on before. comparable dry grip, perhaps slightly less in the wet, decent sidewall stiffness as well

AD08 here. The car came with Hankook Ventus V12 evos on it so they are the only other tyre I have to compare against on this car. The AD08s are great on track, the Hankooks would over heat after a few laps.

I'm going to stick with the AD08, I did four or five track days last year and about 2000 miles on the road and they are only about half worn. I've driven them in the wet and the grip seems fine to me, but I am a cautious driver on the roads in the wet so I've never really tested the limits of their grip much in those conditions.

Been thinking about one of these for a while now, the only thing putting me off is the room inside as i'm not exactly, ahem, tiny. I've yet to sit in one.

I've just got the wife to measure across my shoulders and I'm 56 cm's and just under 6 feet tall, anyone of the same sort of build with one? Fit ok?

Should be. Its the steering wheel (non adjustable) that gets most people. I think you'd squeeze in and be comfortable, all the controls are a hands breadth away so you don't need to lean and stretch....

Father in laws 1999 S2000:

I've driven it a number of times and it's a brilliant car on a nice summers day but I doubt I could ever live with one if it were my only car. And to be honest being 6ft and about 15 stone I do find it a rather 'comfortable' fit, lol

My head doesn't rub on the roof though and all the controls etc are within reach as said above. So you should be fine, but go drive one first, lol

I've done plenty of comfortable miles in a Boxster, anyone know if the fit is about the same?
