Honestly, no need to pay anywhere near that I would say, just be patient.

Prices have increased quite a bit this year (I've been obsessing over the market for the last 8 months before buying 3 weeks ago), stabilised now for the winter.

I'd buy sooner rather than waiting for the inevitable spring increase being a soft top.

As is often said there really is very little out there to compare, articles now cropping up labelling them as a classic in the making (this months EVO for example), but there are a fair few tired and modified ones out there. Hold out for a nice standard car and it certainly won't lose you any money.
