£240 I recall for my 03 last year. 06 onwards pay £400+, pre01 pay around £200 I think and 02 to 06 paying the mid £200s.

HI Im hoping someone can help me. I dont want to hijack the thread but it seams pretty wide ranging so hopepfuelly this is ok.
I have recently bought a S2000 AP1 that needs a replacement roof. Ive seen a complete roof advertised including frame and motors for an AP2. Will it just bolt on or does it need modified? Will it work for someone of average DIY skills? The key is that its the whole roof not just the skin.
Sounds like there are some experts out there so hopefully i can reap the benefit of their knowledge!

ALL UK cars are AP1
Only the 2.2 cars are AP2

Thanks Mikey for the clarification! (re ap1 and ap 2). I'm. Sure the original question still stands up. I have a s2000 from 1999 with plastic hood. Can I fit a later 2003/4 glass window hood on its frame to my earlier car? As a new s2000 owner I would appreciate some help. Cheers

Head over to the UK section of S2ki.com
Many have retrofitted later glass screens roofs
It is DIY if you feel brave
Others have just got an aftermarket hood replacement

Well I live in Enfield... anytime you want to pop round for a chat let me and a tour of the S5 let me know.

I do love the XK.. it is not the best for a family with a little one in a child seat.

It does look like you and I are at the same stage with cars.. nice to see a fellow S2000 owner making a similar decision. Well best of luck with your move. I am sure both will be fine. I suspect the S5 will be better than a XK for fun and most things to be honest. You are prob right about the XKR and running costs...

I took the family out over the weekend.. just around where I live and it was such a comfortable drive. It was a pleasure to be in. I really enjoyed it. Also I took my friend out Friday night as he wanted a spin (a different type of drive to the one with the family)... he loved the car. Thought there was plenty of power and the interior pleased him... His brother had an A8 4.2 so he is use to the luxury side of Audi. He also commented on the B&O sound and thought it was amazing. I previously also owned a TT with Bose sound and I remember comparing it to the sound of a Harmon K system in a M3 and all of us thinking the Bose was better. My friend who is into his sound thought the B&O were simply stunning and possibly better than the Bose.

Bose and B&O is the same company... Bose is their lower tier systems. Bang Ouflsen Sound Entertainment

Where did you hear that? Sounds like a load of crap, BOSE is named after Amar G Bose.

No it's not. Bose is a private US company. B&O are a public company listed on the nordic stock exchange. Both very separate organisations.

B&O is over processed and compressed many owners complain about the sound quality and say the Premium (Alpine based) system is alot better and £5k cheaper
B&O is now standard on DBS's
No Linn on VH platform cars

I always liked the Bose sound in my TT. It was a smaller car than my S5 and also I can't compare as I dont own the TT anymore.

The B&O sound is good... cant be sure if it is better than the Bose.

All I know is the sound in both the TT and S5 is heaps better than the sound I got out of my S2000!

Had my first moment in my s2k yesterday.

Doing about 75, on a relatively tight corner for a motorway but still not that bad, however it was damp so perhaps should have been going a little more sedately.

Anyway, the back end just started to step out on me, it didn't snap out and was able to correct it, but enough to back off for the rest of my journey
