Do we know when the passes are due to open this spring? With the recent warm weather in the mountains I hope we wont be waiting too long. I did the Grimsel Furka Susten loop last summer & can't wait to give it another crack. I've been commuting over the Brunig every 2 weeks this winter, but it doesn't really compare. Would be great to get a few cars involved & to meet some local PHers

I'm hopeful I will be heading for the CH Passes this year, as it seems to have been an annual event since owning the Audi Roll on Summer! Darren

Roll on the summer. Will have time to drive as I'm retired end of the month. Also, may have a surprise up my sleeve..... 996GT3mk1CS Spring is not here yet and we can expect some more snow before June. Certain parts of the alpes are with a very heavy layer of snow...

and yes, we should be with you again, it is alsways big fun :-))
From the 23rd June onwards we are on holiday, then going to the LeMansClassic 2012:-))....meeting some PH again:-)))

Rainer,
The snow in the Engadine isn't too bad. Last week was too hot and the lower slopes are a bit worn but I was in powder up to my waist just off the Marguns lift on Monday. There was about 20cm fresh snow yesterday morning in Celerina.
The issue at the moment is avalanches. The Albula line was disrupted almost all week.
Snow was forecast in the Engadine all week.

Fuchs said: Thanks, that is a useful site. Are any that are open now worth the effort? I did the Juiler pass a few years ago, but it's 2 hours just to get there, bit long for a round trip in a day. I'm currently in Grindelwald/Interlaken & need a fun day of driving, don't mind getting close too/driving in the snow on the way if needed.
