Nearest 'Large'ish' ski resort to Basel?

Hi all, I'm driving over to Basel soon and will have a spare 4/5 days and fancy a few days on the slopes.

I've looked on J2Ski website, but it's difficult to know which of the resorts are tiny (i.e. 2 or 3 lifts) and those which are a decent size. Does anyone know of the nearest to Basel which is large enough to entertain me for 4/5 days?

Neareset to Basel is the Feldberg in Germany, take the B317 from Lörrach heading for Donau Eschingen, the Feldberg is the highest point on the road. Feldberg is also a village of the same name. USually crowded with Swiss who don't want to pay ridiculous Swiss prices! Good skiing at the moment

OR, you can go to Alsace and the Grand Ballon behind Mulhouse

If you want to stay in Switzerland, the closest decent sized resorts (by driving time) are likely to be Engelberg and Grindelwald.
I choose Grindelwald if I'm off for a day. Basel to Grindelwald takes under 100 minutes each way (but the cog railway or loooong gondola will add another 20-30 minutes to get up the mountain.
