Uk plated car insurance for Switzerland

Hi,

Are there insurance companies in Uk or Switzerland that will insure my car in Switzerland and give a green card for Europe. (Keeping Uk Plates)

Dont really want to import it into Switzerland as travelling back and forth to UK?

My experience is that Switzerland is not interested in people keeping foreign plates if they are here most of the time.
I have not found Swiss insurance able/willing to insure a foreign plated car.
There is a limit (6 months if I remember rightly ? - google otherwise) and then you have to register here.

Pretty sure that if you're resident in CH then your car must be registered in CH as well.

You have 1 year to officially import your car. If you are resident then the Police will get pretty upset if you are driving a car registered in another country and can demand you do it immediately if they feel like it, even if your 12 months are not up.
I was stopped randomly for driving on UK plates late one night and despite only having been resident 4 months, was given 2 weeks to do the import.
