been getting car prepped for the croft day fitted the new Roddison Motorsport pads on the back - now they match the front, should now stop on a sixpence - (you young ones won't know what a sixpence is though)

I'd love to do Croft again, and that's a good price...but sadly it's about 20db to low for me Is anyone ever going to be able to run a noisy day at Croft again?

There's around a dozen noisy car track days at Croft per year (105dB). We (BookaTrack) get one, BMWCC get one, I think Lotus-on-Track get one and possibly Javelin - not sure. Jonny BaT

skeggysteve said: Thanks for that. Not sure if I'll be on holiday at that time, but definitely diarised as a 'must do if I can'. How strict are Croft on the noisy days now? Although I got on Cadwell on a 105 day, once on track I was warned to keep the noise down - no beans past the pits. I guess the problem is left-side side exhausts that from the left side of the track sound noisier than the same db out of rear pipes - that plus it backfires like a shotgun on the overrun Never had a problem at Oulton as the pits are on the 'quiet side'...and no-one bothers about noise at KH, thank goodness. If you pass the noise test are you then 'on for the day' or might you get pulled back up?

that 105db day looks good for the noisy cars - expensive though.
I hope Croft's noise meter gets me at 88dB too - otherwise it is along drive home
are these noise meters calibrated to some sort of standard or something

not sure about calibration but ive done a few of these 'quiet days.'
if your slightly over the limit they will have a word and suggest areas on track you can short shift or back off a bit rather than ban you!
