2:22.1 in an old manual 997 GT3 RS with an ideal lap in 2:21
The later PDK cars should be sub 2:20

https://youtu.be/n21qGTM9mGs

Though given traffic on the day, I've had to be inventive in selecting a start/stop line at the end of Wellington Straight in order to get a mostly traffic free lap. Using the Classic start/finish had 2:23 with two bits of traffic

...and on the same day here is a 2:22 in a KTM X-Bow...though more to come from that too

https://youtu.be/s8mLL7YBOLo

The circuit was resurfaced over the winter so probably a second or two quicker than previously - especially in the wet.

My first visit there in my road legal E46 M3 last month I did a 2.27. It would've been 2.25 but lifted off before I completed the lap as the E36 I was chasing backed out and I thought he'd seen an incident/yellow flag. frown

My tyres (Trofeo R's) were quite hot by the start of the lap and definitely past their best. Definitely much more time to come from car and driver

Last summer, mounted a set of old slicks on the XBow (think they still had some life in them but just old in age)….and it really spiced it up a bit!

2:17 on the day. Probably more on the table

The best I’ve managed is a 2:19.6 - E36 M3 on DZ03Gs.

Very cool time for an E36.

Looks quite stripped out. What weight & power are you running?

It’s about 1140kg dry, and made 362 bhp on the last dyno run.

2:48 in a 2001 Volvo V40 T4 - original brakes and suspension, mild re-map so c220 bhp, 2 up, R888's.

Will be interesting to see if the winters brake and suspension upgrades can get it into under 2:40.

2:28 in a 987.2 Cayman S on a very cold, slippery/dampish track. I would imagine it being capable of 2:24/5 in better conditions.

Did a 2.22 in my road legal M3 on Monday, still the same power, weight and using the same tyres as last year, so well past their best. The aero and chassis mods have made a big difference in the high speed stuff.

Despite being a mainly great day on track, that sadly wasn’t the worst driving I encountered on track weeping

Managed a 2:42 in my Clio 197 on Saturday - very cold day, running Pilot Cup's - without stickier rubber i can't see there being much left in that, maybe a second if the perfect clear lap

Here is my teammate doing a 2:30 in a MX-5 in Club Enduro. (4:20 onwards) It's on MRF ZTR tyres and has 171BHP according to the Dyno that was bought to Snetterton at the round before. https://www.facebook.com/johnmunroracing/videos/55...

Probably wont see many better peddlers than Munro in this thread tbh, especially in an mx5.

2:19 in a new (to me) XBow a few weeks ago. This was a brief shakedown visit in 4 deg weather in a new car so was being relatively conservative - I had already managed to spin the car on cold tyres just coming out of the pitlane!. So was not using too much run off, gentle on the throttle, etc. Still pretty impressed with the pace...I think something closer to 2:15 should be possible in warmer weather with more aggressive driving.

2:12.00 in the JCR fettled 991.2 GT3 RS Weissach yesterday around Silverstone GP

2:10.8 possible on used tyres on this run without traffic but we’re back Monday for a go with new tyres. Mid to low 2:09 should be on the cards

Amazing cars still with plenty of potential left over from the factory and this one has more to go too. Ultimate pace we’re targeting once all of the development is complete is dipping into the 2:07’S
Also running the JCR 718 GT4 today but again no clear laps, 2:17.52 best on sectors but a 2:16 with a clear lap is coming, again back out on Monday so praying for a couple of clear traffic free laps in both cars
