Weather forecast for Monday through to Wednesday is perfect - just praying it stays that way...
Sunday will be cloudy with rain. We need to have a dry weekend as it is getting bloody cold here in the evening (5C) and wet roads are taking a long time to dry out. I'm looking at the forcast a couple of times a day at the moment!krallicious said:

Whatever for? The forecast there is only good for the subsequent 15 minutes at most anyway. Looking whole days in advance is just tormenting yourself. If it is truly unworkably miserable and isn't looking like it will improve, you already know the drill : park your car back wherever you are staying and retire to the bar.Or are you trying to second guess a tyre choice?
quite. divining the entrails of a sacrificed sheep is a more reliable source of nurburgring/spa weather forecasting in anything but the immediate future.
the nurburg locals have a saying, which goes something like this; if you can't see the castle, it's raining. if you can see the castle then the rain is coming.

They have a similar saying in Switzerland but replace 'castle' with mountains. I'm tormenting myself because I live down the road andit has been dry here for a few days although I am well aware that it can be sunny in Nürburg and pissing it down by Höhe Acht.

Andrew - I'll ask you for the weather report when you turn up on the event .... the nurburg locals have a saying, which goes something like this; if you can't see the castle, it's raining. if you can see the castle then the rain is coming.
The state owned company is bankrupt. Liquidators have been appointed. Rhineland Governor Kurt Beck, who was ultimately responsible for the hundreds of millions of wasted Euros, resigned last week. The state owned bank, which lent the money for the investment, is in need of a "bail out". The EU is investigating the illegal State Aid given to the nurburgring and may require the money to be repaid (to the state bank) but that isn't going to happen because there is no money in the coffers. Meanwhile the contract with the privately owned operating company has been terminated although there is an ongoing legal dispute about that and they are still running everything. A fraud trial starts on 16th October. Six defendants! Complete fking shambles. Enjoy it while you can because somewhere in the Eifel there's a man with a tin of Dulux waiting for the call to start painting a broken white line along the middle of the new nordschleife road.
