Only problem I saw was a blue E36 M3 who seemed to have fetish for bonnet pins and was using 8 for the front bonnet alone! Chaps in a Rent a ring Golf GTI going into corners under braking without waiting for consent and repeatedly flashing his lights when in the middle of corners. He was 'racing' the Italian Elise with green wheels. The German chap in the black Schirmer E92 wasn't much better either.

Porkie said: What was the problem with the Italians? I didnt see any bad driving personally? Well, for one example I was patiently waiting for a safe passing opportunity on a Swift through Pflanzgarten and an Italian E36 overtook me down the right on the first right hander after the big jump. Fortunately I saw him coming and was going so slowly behind the Swift that there was not any kind of issue making plenty of room to avoid any potential impact, but I'd call that pretty bloody dangerous in principle, contrary to the principle of a track day and very definitely against the rules. The video would be a great what not to do for briefings. The thing is - in my experience (of all of the DN days so far held) it isn't Italians in general that are the issue, the ones that people complain about almost always seem to be in some variety or other of 3 series BMW... The Italians in Lotus, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, and so on tend to be fine. [Incidentally - I did mention it to Darren on the day]

Worst overtake I witnessed was by someone who really should know better: Sabine Schmitz! She overtook me going into Hohe Acht & it was a good job I looked in my mirrors because the natural line there would have taken me directly into her path.

well we had a really good time at the nurburgring on the 7th & 8th october. it was my first time there and the learning curve is very steep but all in all i enjoyed it very much and will defo go back next year. at first it was a case of keeping out of the way while learning the track but by the 8th (monday) we were ok with putting some good laps in with the x bow. i am glad to see the people who had gone off with accidents were all ok.
see you next year

Looks fine for TF overtaking - I presume this was DN6 though.

One of my favourite photos from Spa is one with my mum just visible in the passenger seat.

Only did Spa on Wednesday, but had an absolutely excellent time. Rally well organised evetn, hardly any queueing, and only one red flag period iirc, and generally speaking very good standard of driving and obeying of rules.
Highlight of the day: Danny Winstanley overtaking me on the downhill straight before Double Gauche where I was in the box seat to watch him drift it all the way round the bend in an M3 !! Talent !

What a tremendous few days! Thanks to Darren and all the DN/Circuit Days team The 'Ring was fantastic, as ever. I had heard that everyone was well after their crashes, which is a relief. I met the Seat Leon guys earlier in the day after following them for half a lap Re: the Italians. I witnessed a couple of rather "dodgy" incidents, but I just let them get on with it. It certainly didn't detract from a fun day on track. I was a Spa newbie on Wednesday, and thoroughly enjoyed it. I'll be definitely returning! Tuition was extremely helpful - it's amazing how much you can learn from a seasoned professional in 20 minutes. Great to see a few familiar faces/cars, and to meet a fair few PHers. Thanks to Darren in the red 205GTi for a few quick laps dace It's apparent form above you are the guy I chatted to about your S4 on Tuesday. Mike with tht awesome Sagaris - great to meet you on the Chunnel. I hope the guys in Galant and the Scottish chap I met with the white GT3 were OK after their offs at Pouhon Finally, I can whole heartedly recommend the Spa karting track! It was a great way to spend the Thursday morning after plenty of time on the big-boy tracks Thanks again to everyone who made the event possible! I'll post links to photos and videos in this thread when I get round to uploading them Darren (Bright Blue RS4)
