Although one of the drivers in your car do stop most other people enjoying the day...............shockingly unpredictable, slow and dangerous
Bit harsh.

Why don't we have a show of hands...

Hands up if Ed ruined your day at Spa the other week.

Anyone?

No?

Certainly didn't stop me enjoying myself.

thanks jack.

I'd rather take this offline as it could easily degenerate (it's not started well....) I have no idea what he's on about.

if we don't resolve it that way we can come back here and insult each other smile

Well, you did ask for it - here's some of my crap driving from the 'ring, trying to point out some other British cars:
MX-5 and footage of a Soarer for the first lap, nice rear-view of how beautiful the ring is on a foggy autumn morning from about 6.10, Blue RS4? from 11.26, Evo passing at 15.28, 6-series and Z3M around 16 mins

http://youtu.be/PtWKw3pDrE4?hd=1

next vid - A TVR around 3.55, XR2 7.30ish...2nd lap was running out of fuel, so passed by lots of stuff

http://youtu.be/IWOOajallDs?hd=1

next one - Megane around 1.45, Scooby 4.30, Blue/White GT3RS parked up in the valley 5:43, black GTR 7.45, red 968 10.40, 370Z 15.25, GT3RS 23.10, old BMW 21.35, something crashed 22.45,S2000 24:00, M3 26:09,Golf & Integra 27:45, 350Z 29:16,997 29:40

http://youtu.be/fH1am2LWaRM?hd=1

last one at the ring - from 0:40 3-series BMW, Golf, 997, 996.2 GT3 then GT3RS 2:14, BAC Mono 3:02, GTR 4:23, Boxster 5:00,3-series 5:07, jaaaaag 7:40, Megane 9:00

http://youtu.be/w_3so_UAuA4?hd=1

and if that doesn't get you soundly to sleep I'll post up my Spa footage....

Great stuff thanks for posting!
Couple of Q? Was that flat out on the straights at Spa & the Ring as i thought the car would have a higher terminal speed? Seemed to hover around the 105-110 mark?
I found it v. hard to get any temp into my slicks on the Monday morning without a spin! Is it the same on the smaller tyres?

Thank you so much for posting those videos - they are great smile
The multi-angle and in-laid information makes superb viewing!

That is a Blue RS4... whistle
I remember that lap.
I decided to overtake knowing you would quickly catch me and overtake in the corners (I commented to passenger about this).
I didn't appreciate quite how quickly that re-overtake would happen - it was a tremendous sight so thank you biggrin

thats not at you, I'm trying to stop myself putting dents in the steering wheel holding on too tight, so release and then re-grip to try and relax for the hairpin....

Indeed, but to be honest it only really shows at the ring/spa/silverstone....my usual tramping grounds (knockhill/oulton) its plenty. I don't think its got enough torque to handle much different gearing as its struggling to get to the top of the revs in 6th as it is..

yeah gave up with the fruity pipes.. stuck the standard system & cats back on as can't be arsed with the aggro.. std system strangles the power a wee bit tho... must try harder!

see you next time out pal!

Can I ask why you need so much kerbing at all three points through Eau Rouge/Le Raidillon? A very slight adjustment to your entry would give a better exit speed.http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/imgs/4.gif

You can ask but I wouldn't have an answer. Now I've finally got the car somewhat reliable, driver upgrades are next on the list!

Very harsh indeed, but then again it should be obvious that someone who has paid the same amount for the same trackday should know that certain people on fast laps have priority!smileI think the reply needed in this case in in general gassing under the topic "one single thing that makes you think knob" or maybe that is a bit harsh too biggrin

Good answer, lol. Actually your lines are very good, one small piece of advice would be to use more of the track, left to right etc. Turn in for Eau rouge id keeping well to the right, scrape you door mirror on the pit wall[almost]red marshals box nearly at the end of the wall, turn it in,make sure of entering Le Raidillon completely straight ahead. Not like a couple of poor sod's last Monday turned in way too early and paid the price. Not injured but the cars were a bit messed up.

That's exactly the same advice I got from instructors on my first trip there earlier this year. In fact, they even reached out and steadied the wheel to stop me from turning in too early/much at Raidillon. I guess like many who'd watched videos before going, I thought there was a big turn left at the top....it's very different when you drive it yourself for the first time!
