That's exactly the same advice I got from instructors on my first trip there earlier this year. In fact, they even reached out and steadied the wheel to stop me from turning in too early/much at Raidillon. I guess like many who'd watched videos before going, I thought there was a big turn left at the top....it's very different when you drive it yourself for the first time!
Certainly is,approach alone is daunting enough, your just looking straight ahead at a wall of tarmac.

To anyone that was at Spa how many cars could you fit in the 'endurance garages'?

they were st - 2 cars nose to tail and you can't drive through most of them

Bugger.

How do you mean you can't drive through them?

I wonder why we aren't getting the decent pit garages for the 2013 track day.. plenty of space there.

Quite simply, they are not worth the extra cost unless it is tipping it down. Most of the cars I saw in the garages didn't seem to move for the whole day either.

a lot of them could only be driven into from the pit lane, and not the paddock behind as there was a significant step-up from the paddock into the garage

I see, as in some of the cars were too low to enter from the paddock behind?

You'd need to be in a range rover.....

Makes perfect sense, I mean who wants a perfectly flat entry in to a garage anyway?

I will have to weigh it up as they are wanting £60 per garage.

I would say any of the garages to the right of the shop start to become difficult and then get better near the bottom.

Also the garages nearer the top seemed to be deeper, look at google maps of the pit area and you can see the building thins at certain points.

Basically get there early and find one of the organisers to get your pick of the bunch.

Ah cheers, you've just made my day! I'm blushing now wink

Yip lizard plate.
Porkie, just for you china, I got sent this link a while ago, I don't normally film but a pal lent me a go pro for a bit & he sent me the footage, not the briskest laps, but some of the most fun I did on that trip, best bit is from 6.30 onwards, where I have a bit of fun hunting Neil in his GT2, mental strightline fast with over double my bhp & similar weights, but I made up for it elsewhere, great fun.

Had some issues with car when I got back, hopefully sorted now, quick test at Donny next wk then off it goes to Spa & DN 'ring for easter again.
