Got any links to some details? I have just fitted these to my car!

I've had a quote for Yokahama Prada Tyres at £ 92 each. Road tyre but I'm considering them. 215/40/17
I've had mine for about a month. Stonking stopping power - tyres now match the brakes. Haven't had a chance to track day with them yet, but some spirited twisty driving last weekend was good fun. Not sure how they will handle in the wet - managed to fishtail it at 20mph in a downpour last Saturday, but that could have happened with any tyres.Jubal said:
I don't see that as an issue. But thanks for the link.

PS, when I last looked, Yoko Parada Spec 2s in 205/40/17 were about £63. No idea why the difference
Would avoid these myself as leathal in the wet & overheat very easily.I had chunks flying off these at Donington on my 197 swapped to Michelin Exalto PE2s & no problems, wet or dry.
finally got the RSR's on track at bruntingthorpe yesterday, so far VERY impressed! very controllable, didnt snap off at the edge of the grip levels, in fact no matter how hard I tried I couldn't get the back end to go! a fellow tiv owner commented that his griff could not corner like my chim did!

Paradas going on track at 9 am......will report back
Reporting back. Reasonably impressed. Didn't fall apart, stopped the car brilliantly, not as impressed with the cornering, though that may have had something to do with the jerk behind the wheel. Tomorrow I will be getting a Jaguar professional test driver to try it out and give his opinion. I have a Saxo VTS track car and recently picked up a set of Parada Spec 2s from a 106 I was breaking for spares. I have just bought some Federal 595 for the next track day.
I have driven it for about 4 years on track.
On the rear end for the last 2 years I have used a set of soft compound Kumho V70. Bearing in mind how light the rear end is is the only reason these are useable in soft compound, medium and hard seem to be the choice for many. I had these for another car and never used them... they are very soft and I can really abuse driving style with them, breaking later into the corners as they just don't let go. A real shock when using a 'normal' tyre on the rear instead! Amazing grip.
On a recent visit to Castle Combe I tried out loads of tyre combinations:
I will start at the to and work down in what I found:
Kumho V70s- only ever used on the rear but amazing- I would love to have some mediums on the front end. The reviews from other track day users are very positive.
A048 - had two sets of these and wore the first through until metal poked out! Really good grip. They also seem to last ok despite the abuse given to them. A friend of mine has an Atom and finds these slightly better than 888's.
Then there is a gap. There are track tyres, then road tyres, not to be confused.
Toyo T1rs. Pretty good predictable in the dry, nothing compared with a good track day tyre such as A048 (and I guess 888 and from what I expect 595 will be lesser tyre than the 888). These were really good in the wet and this is unsurprising with a similar tread to Rainsport tyres. The tread bends under cornering so those 'fins' of the tyre pattern get folded over and wear on one side- I have seen this on many other cars. Heavier cars suffer from this bending of fins thing worse. (Google t1r hate thread, I remember it being about Evos)
Yokohama S Drive. Not really a track tyre and quite hard for a track type tyre but they had surprising grip, they wear very evenly too. None of the bendy side nonsense.
Parada Spec2. They look really exciting and are quite soft to feel. Regular road use makes you feel they are quite good but on track were slower through the corners than T1r's. They folded within their own tread as do t1rs but parts of the tread fell off in little chunks. The grip levels were very low. The T1rs compared to these were a good step up and in comparison I was lapping over 2 seconds faster on A048s than T1rs. Parada spec 2s were poor.
This all seems pretty obvious now but 3 or 4 years ago I would have read a Saxo forum and might have been excited about T1rs and using them on track. I will be fascinated by using the Federals in a few weeks time with my old, flat spotted almost worn through A048s on the rear. I would also be interested in Maxspor RB5's which some Saxo users say are amazing but are out of stock in the size and compound I use.

- Also worth bearing in mind Axle weight as my wishy washy reviews are only my experiences in a front heavy Saxo.
