I see your point Dave. Looks like several cars all slowed much too quickly without any thought as to what might be behind.

Still a great story to be boring his friends at the pub this weekend.. like the time i had a crash at.... etc etc etc

........Castle Combe and closed the track for 90 minutes and ruined a lot of peoples day & cost the circuit a shed load of cash as they had to refund a load of sessions that people couldn't use.

I'll be giving these "Action Days",where any wannabe Lewis or Jenson can get on track for £30, a swerve in future.

Enjoy recalling your moment to your mates!

Epic lurking from Dave Rose! Five and a half years saying nothing, then one brief post to set the record straight...

To the wally driving the FIAT: trying to sound experienced by using stupid terms makes you look like even more of a tool. Shaving off speed my arse!

same old story on track days, too many people out there who have no clue what they are doing

as for the lupo incident, you cant suddenly just slow down at a whim, especially in the middle of a corner,in fact you have more chance of causing another accident if you do exactly that! a red flag means cease racing and be prepared to stop, not stop on the spot!

If you watch his video you can see that the fellow in the Lupo couldnt see the accident, and you also see him see either the inverted car or the waved red as he is exiting the corner (with a comedy double take).

I couldnt even see the other cars brake lights let alone the accident.....

But I did think the Lupo driver was a bit 'attack' minded. Looked like a race rather than a track day.

You pays yer money and takes yer choice, etc....

I don't think too many of the cars on this event will be on any RMA days at Spa, etc.

My first ever race was at Combe some years ago, and the speed differential in the Special GT series between the back of the grid and the Nemesis', etc was truly scary, esp as the Nemesis was going for a sub 1 minute lap during the race.

This looks much the same, but where the drivers have little skill, awareness, patience or well prepared cars. I think their £30 would be far better spent on a game for their consoles.
