In years gone by I used to fail the static fairly regularly at Bedford depending on the conditions. I then had to hand my car to one of the instructors who hooned it at high speed/revs past the drive-by meters with me hanging on in the PAX seat. Nowadays, I think if you fail the static you do not pass go, which is a shame. I don't do Bedford anymore.
Have done a few javelin days and will not book any more after my experience of them.
Day at cadwell last year - far too many cars booked. Endless queuing and red flags with Colin demonstrating how not to treat paying customers i.e. Like children.
Other days where several race teams have been testing and not apparently realised or been reminded that it's a track day.

will only comment on that part, as Cadwell is my closest track I have done MANY days there over the years with probably every TDO that tracks there & every one has been the same due to it's popularity. They are always sold out with many travelling from far & wide to track there, and there are always many queues to get on.Another issue with Cadwell is that the track entrance is in the wrong place for track days. The mountain part of the circuit naturally bunches cars up & makes it hard for a big enough gap to appear for the marshalls to let you out.
Went to a Javelin trackday last week at Spa, had an amazing time! I have to say that Spa in the sun, about 15 degrees (warm in the sun) is never a bad thing. The organisation were very kind people, we had no red flags and no queueing. It was not very busy which definitely helps but I would absolutely join a busy day as well.
I've been to Bedford twice with javelin and been black flagged 2-3 times during the day, on both occasions...agreed to run with exhaust valve closed and sport+ turned off in my 911 ...I found Colin and the team of marshals great...they really don't want to send anybody home..but I think if you try to work with them and have a positive attitude it can turnout ok ....I'm off to Bedford again this Monday with javelin and hoping for another fantastic day ...
Noise limits are always a thing and are normally enforced by the track officials (which again is not their choice but they have to follow it anyway). For example, at Zolder in Belgium they are quite strict, if you go over 95 dB you get one warning and the second time your are sent home. This is never something the trackday organiser can do anything about, they just have to follow the local rules. They tend to warn you during the briefing (Javelin did this as well at Spa).
I think noise restrictions is something to keep in mind. Either make sure you don't get caught by keeping a constant speed at the measurement points or just make sure your care is silent enough.
