Did anyone here attend the trackday yesterday at Silverstone? Just looking for anyone's opinion on RMA as there do not seem to be many recent threads on PH that relate to them. It was very different to any other track days I have been on, very few road cars the majority being race or absolute track cars. Not that I am complaining we were in a race prepared car. There did seem to be a bit of an 'attitude' from the organisers, and whilst I understand their point of view not sure their delivery was that inspiring. One of the cars we had broke down, the car was pulled off at an appropriate exit from the track and cuased no problems to any other users and by pulling off where we did, the recovery truck was able to retrieve the car without having to go on track. We still got a bking!!

Used Rma for years and was there briefly yesterday . Very well organised and run track days . Easily one of the best in the business . The overtaking on both sides is brilliant . Some very very special vehicles out there too . Sorry to hear about your breakdown . Don't take it too hard mate , track days don't like crashes and breakdowns ( they get a lot of grief from the customers ) this combined with the new silverstone health and safety crap is probably why you were spoken too . I'm going to spa with them hope to see you there .

Yup i was there too in maybe one of the slower cars (black E46 M3 track car) which was fine. Shame about the black/blue Radicals who were not racing (much) each other but apart from that, Graham does run a tight ship and his pre event briefing will be the stuff of legend to come - he's only protecting his business and ensuring open pit lanes and overtaking on both sides for years to come despite the best efforts of the 'elf n safety mob...

I did a 2-day Spa trackday last year with RMA and was very happy - superbly organised event, helpful staff and would definitely use them again. They tend to attract very serious cars and drivers who know what they are doing. I was with one of very few non-modified/non-race prepared cars BTW, but never felt disadvantaged for any reason.

I understand your "attitude" argument, but in most cases works in participants' favour - there was a guy doing some idiotic stuff on the track and he has been black flagged straight away

You missed this one then:

Your experience is why some of us thought the link up was a bit odd.

Thanks guy's for the compliments, as a matter of interest the two black Radicals got slung out immediately after lunch, I spoke to them 'nicely' late morning after receiving some complaints and watching them on CCTV, unfortunately they didn't seem to understand the 'nice' warning and consequently had to go.
I make no apology for the 'attitude', as I've said at numerous briefings I'm not there to make friends and really don't care is a small number of participants think I'm a really miserable bas***d as long as the vast majority go home having had a good day with their car in one piece. - Graham.
