Check your weights would ya, my Mondeo made short work of a twin axle clubman (350kg tare plus 550kg load) but wasn't so comfortable towing a racepod (700kg tare plus same load). My Dad's Brian James transporter is ridiculously heavy. Good quality, but the weight would actually put me off a bit because I wouldn't feel comfortable hitching it up to my old 525i, you'd really need a towing-orientated car.

ETA: Underhand marketting tactics from Eco would put me off nono

Customer of mine bought an RS5 on my recommendation, for its 1st year it was in a workshop but ended up in a compound after that. Its now nearly 8 years old, the gelcoat has dulled though may polish but Ive now spotted a few small blisters and the odd repair that were obviously "invisible" when new! Ive used it pretty much every other month and apart from the brakes sticking after a being left over winter( leave the handbrake off if you can) its had basic servicing/ greasing. Locks need a squirt of lube now and again, the door water seals have fell off (bonding came away with the gelcoat) but tbh didnt do much in the first place. Tail ramp has bent the support bars which seems the norm with loading heavy cars/uneven paddocks and theres a crack appeared top to bottom - think its a hardwood panel? But this has been like it for 2 years so not an issue.

I stick 1500 kgs of car in it, but I also bought this http://www.bulldogsecure.com/view/bulldog-400q-ant... and tow it with my Transit mini bus.
Drove back from Zandvoort with it yesterday and sat at sat-nav 65/70 on the motorways.
You will notice the trucks and a bit of a sway, though I was using only 1 of the 2 anti snake bars. If you pass trucks at 70 its worse than at 60.

The most important thing is getting the balance right, otherwise it wont matter what you tow with. Luckily the cars I run are pretty much 50/50 weight split so I know where to put it. Tail heavy and nose light will make it very twitchy, a little more weight to the front improves stability.

Well I didn't mean to offend anyone! Its true I haven't ever used this forum before, I normally only use PH for buying cars etc but I came across this topic when I googled EcoTrailer.

I thought it would be worthwhile registering to share my experience, that is the point of this topic?? Not sure I want to use the forum now :-S
I too have dealt with Simon from Eco-Trailer, always been ok with me, its handy because I live just 25mins from them.

My only advise would be to view one, view the competition and make your own decision. As said previously the running gear is BPW and they handle very well IMO.
I have owned BJ open trailers before, they too are good but you pay a premium.

I'm using a Turatello 26F and it's a pretty awesome bit of kit, not cheap, about the same as BJT, but top quality and tows like a dream. In fairness, the Ecos are cheap but when you move around a £50k+ car, it's maybe worth getting a decent trailer if you can stretch it.
