Hi,

Just a quick and somewhat belated 'hello' to anyone who was at Javelin's trackday at Mallory on the 18th. My 2nd trackday and my first in the dry. I had a great time, largely thanks to the people there who very generously shared garage space, gave advice and took me for passenger laps in their cars. In particular I'd like to thank Matt and Trevor C, 'Cookie', Mike in the Pug 106, 'Pez' and Lee for their sage advice - on the off-chance any of them read this.

I can't recommend Javelin and Mark Woodhead their ARDS instructor highly enough, really professional. I'll definitely go back to Mallory too; what a brilliant little circuit.

Cheers,

Luke

ETA: 'Twas me in the WR blue Scooby, thanks and apologies to anyone I held up, your patience was appreciated as I learnt the ropes smile

Had a good day too! I was in my Red Clio 197. Interesting circuit but not sure if I would book it again. Also a shame not to have got any footage as they wouldn't allow me to use my suction mounted go pro even though it was also cable tied in position. Thought Javelin organiser was being a bit petty to be honest.

Yes you were circulating quite rapidly from what I could see. I've a couple of photos from the professional 'togs which show you closing on me pretty quickly biggrin Cervezaman I don't recall seeing you, but there were a goodly number of clios there!

ETA: I wasn't allowed to use the helmet mount for my camera; a bit disappointed with that, as it would've shown my hands - I could've proved I had to use 'a dab of oppo' out of the hairpin a couple of times biggrin but instead the footage is from a mount on the dash, it's a bit boring tbh! Ah well, it's a good excuse for installing my harness bar next time...
