Hi everyone,
I've got a set of 18x8 oz Alleggertia wheels and am trying to decide on tyre width. I've seen loads of 225's available but I've only used 245's on the wheels before. Can I get away with 225's? They are loads cheaper!

Also I'm looking for dunlop dz03g, yokohama ad08r or federal 595 rsr at a push
Is there anywhere I can get them apart from eBay?

I use 225's on an 8x18 rim with no issues. In fact, there is less sidewall flex so what you lose in extra grip from a wider tyre, you gain in reduced roll.

Have a look on here in the motorsport section for tyres.

Thanks everyone!
I will give the 225 section a go!

Hopefully I can pick up some part worns at a decent price!

Dam spell checker changing worns to worms!

I have to chip in my 2p here just in case it helps.

I have an e36 328 track car on 17s.

I used to use 225s & last year went to 245s & the improvement in grip completely cancelled out the requirement for track tyres.

I now use 245/45/17 Conti sport 3 or 5 part worn at £80/pair & save a mint..... Polo that is!
