Thought it was an excellent day yesterday. Well run, perfect weather, decent driving standards and a fine mix of cars. A few pistonheaders as well, including a RS6 which was extremely rapid past the pits.. dread to think what the mpg was..

Enjoyed giving the Panda a run, although got trapped behind a couple of cars which obviously didn't realise that a lack of power meant that I needed co-operation to pass!

Yes it was a very enjoyable day. The RS6 did sound pretty good.

I was in the white Cayman S.

I was there with my Orange Westfield, with black front arches. It was a great day good weather and great driving standards.
Some nice cars there and some pretty quick ones as well, I never saw the RS6 but my mate said when it came back in the brakes were smoking away like a good un, Combe suits a car like that with lots of power and the driver clearly was on it.

I agree. Was a great day with a good standard of driving. I was in the Alfa - so pleased the power steering pump survived the day. I can give it a proper good thrashing next time out!

Dan - you were going well in the Panda. We chatted about your NS2-R's.

Trev - I think we were in the same session (maybe 3?), so if you check my vid out below, you will come flying past me at one point.

I had a great day sharing the Amazon with my Dad. Good crowd of participants, nice range of cars and only one real bump which happened to involve my favorite mini of the day.

I was there in the green eunos ,

excellent fun , scott chatted to you in the queue hello

Done that day before though this was my first track day in my own car. Normally people do all their session by mid afternoon and then you just keep on queuing till you have had enough or they close the track. Not sure why people hadn't used all their tickets by 1630 so only got one bonus session but that is better than no bonus sessions !

Good value even without the bonus runs.

Hello effkay, twas nice to meet you guys.

cheers for the admiration of the volt, it's really good fun thrashing it!!! The mini lost it on the back of the circuit, at the chicane after Tower I believe. Damage was cosmetic, albeit significant but I heard the owners son was a panel beater!!😥

Really enjoyed seeing the Amazon going well. Pretty committed stuff, and I'm sure that I saw it bouncing down the grass at one stage..

Thanks Dan, can safely say that I never touched any grass but my old man was struggling with the rear of the car as we stiffened it up last week. I liked it - you had to be neat and tidy - my Dad hated it!! I'm generally quicker than him so we are now arguing over set up! 😁

Loved watching the panda too. You were following Dad for a bit before you unleashed the full 100hp and disappeared.I am now looking for a white one.

A white 100HP looks good, just be careful on prices (they seem to be a bit all over the place!). Have really enjoyed mine, although it's now approaching 100k miles and I've owned it for almost five years. Was struggling a bit in the session with your Dad, I had a serious bit of ballast in the car (hefty passenger!) and made a massive difference coming out of the chicanes. Hope you reach agreement on the set up, he was making it move about quite a bit..

I think the reason that the day ran slow was two fold. One was it was a bit damp at first so things didn't get moving before 10 really. The second was we normally see a woman from Castle Combe who runs the pit lane, she wasn't there and too much time was lost with people not ready to go. She usually knew who was on first or second runs and fed them in in turn, this did not appear to happen.
On my second run I was the fourth car out and when I came by the pits the last car was just leaving.
I saw this several times in the day especially with some of the mini drivers who were not expecting to be going out then were called.
It was still a great day but it was noticeably slower than normal.
