That's some impressive GT-R driving...

Looks like full auto too, didn't even play with the paddles did he?
I've had a more interactive drive going to the shops...

Talk about buying speed and not fun.

All turbo and no talent, what is all this resting his arm on the door and one handed steering bks.
I'm not sure why everyone is having a go at this guy! I have never seen Hamilton/Rosberg/Alonso etc. driving with one hand, so this guy is surely more talented than them and the fact that he can also tune his radio, turn the aircon up and adjust his sat nav while he is driving also marks him out as a future champion. Better still, he also seems capable of reaching round and finding his pork pie or sandwiches or something from behind his seat, so not only is he talented and fast, he must also have made his lunch before going out to ensure his energy levels don't drop and cause a reduction in his concentration. The man is a hero and deserves the maximum level of respect that PH can award and any of those audacious trackdayers who got in his way should write to him and apologise.
PMSL biggrin

If Top Gear ever need a one armed Stig? Suggest the touch screen .... he is timing his laps or his lunch in the microwave behind his seat

Haha @ sigmamark7

No that wasn't the maclaren seen the maclaren at bedford before always warmed the car up for a lap or 2 and never seen him drive like an idiot, so completely the gtr's fault. The way the bloke blocked the pits and went storming over to the little maclaren owner was un called for.

Won't deter me from bedford tho as touch wood I've never had any issues.

I think it's been withdrawn. Can't get it to play this end?

Here's our video of the first session of the day, our first outing in the Lotus:

Unfortunately we then got a nasty puncture and had to be recovered home!

That's not the biggest surprise in the world, given the critique it had already attracted. If you've not seen it you're not missing anything, it's not spectacular in any way, just a bloke driving a GTR on track with no hint of any skill or courtesy.

The sequel 'GTR Parody' is much improvedsmile

I'd say that is a pretty special vid, uniqueness of driving style and etiquette Ive never seen before.

After all the exposure I'm sure the driver will be much improved next time he ventures out for a kebab/track daysmile

Even more jealous of that Lotus now.......

I have tons of video, but it's all very boring compared to the quick cars wink

That was my thought too.

Assume band was removed and told to exit stage left?

But that is the point, GTR man was black flagged a few times but carried on 20 mins later, they did not all leave until the GTR hit the 12C.

Amazing behaviour. I'd hope a discussion has been had at ATDO level with regard to this driver. Better off covering this stuff off before he gets to another TD.

Be interesting to see what happens if he did have an instructor in with him. Won't reflect well on MSVT I wouldn't think.

I did not know this.

I recieved an email request for feedback on my trackday experience, so I think I have even more reason to express how dissatisfied I am with this aspect.

At one point he overtook me (luckily I pulled over to the right on a right corner exit), and then proceeded to weave, overtaking the next car on the right, and the car after that on the left, all in very quick succession and not in control.
