WHAT! Someone has actually taken the time to read them! Lol
Full harnesses are mentioned in there. One reason why the Porsche GT3RS has both types fitted, although we've never had problems with this issue of TUV.Yet!
Where? And what does it say? I can't see it.

I do recall there were issues a few years ago with harnesses (and everything else to do with rental cars, if they were from the wrong company that is) but I can't see anything about them in that document.

Last time I was there I got told my day was over because a marshal said my car Flamed after leaving the toll gates. After some negotiation I went out again but on low boost. Bit ridiculous really! Not much you can do to stop this on older cars and imagine going all the way out there for your first time and not being able to drive.

Sorry for the delay, I will find it for you, but obviously I would not make something like this up.Checked through usual web pages but failed to find it again, perhaps an older version going by what you say?.It was under the Safety section .
Come to think of it, am sure it was from 2013 and the tightening up on use of non TUV approved turn buckles. Not too much of a worry then-unless the marshal who spots any of the things mentioned is in a crap mood.
Come to think of it the section covering this and other items was

It definitely mentions no harnesses, when I was last there in June 2013 anyway. I got a bit of a shock as I have harnesses, and thought the trip had been in vain, but I got let on with no problems. I took it to mean no obvious race cars getting on TF days, and that road cars with harnesses (GT3, Megane R26 etc) will be ok unless they want to make an example of you

Not sure what you mean by "It definitely mentions no harnesses ..." I linked to the document above and I can't see any mention of harnesses in there.

I don't dispute that there used to be an issue with harnesses - especially the rotary buckle type - I remember it well, I'm trying to clarify whether they currently object to them?

In short No, certainly never been a problem with the R26Rs or GT3RS's we use. But, the idea was to warn newcomers of possible pitfalls they could face, its a long journey so why spectate.Problem is the cars are not checked before the ticket is bought.
