Is anyone from here going? Day is being organised by BaT.

Never been to Donington before - looking forward to it!

I'll be there testing my mk3 Mx5 Race Car. Will be the first time I've driven it!

One of my favourite tracks!

These two are quiet good web sites for the weather :-) But we do live in the UK so you never know.

Sounds good! Have you got a garage and if so would you be willing to share it?!

Nice! Have you driven one before? If it's dry and I can fit in one then I'd quite like a passenger ride!

I'll be there in my Mx5.

Driving up from Kent, hoping to somehow fit 4 bald R888 wheels in the Mx5 boot, passenger seat, and perhaps strap one onto the boot..(unless its rain non-stop).

Good circuit, last time I was there was 2012 for a shared day.

Nightmare - car hesitating/misfiring when I was only a few miles away from work this morning. Limped it to work and now it won't start!

Anyone interested in taking my place? I have a garage and photography booked. Will phone BaT now and see if they can offer me a refund/credit as goodwill. frown

Bugger.

You are welcome to seat time in my Mx5, provided you are not a wally behind the wheel :-) if you can not get out of it- although BaT tend to be quiet cool like that.

Very kind of you Henry! Got the AA on their way now and left a message on BaT's answerphone so will see what happens...

Got it started again (damaged wire to a sensor) but then it was still running badly after replacing the coil pack. Narrowed it down to cylinder 4 - probably either the ignition lead or injector.

Hope everyone has a good day tomorrow, I'll hopefully book another day at Donington for early next year.

Well that was interesting, first BaT event- very impressive, organized but laid back and everyone on track was IMO very well behaved (Well they where as they where all passing me mostly)

Thanks to the pair of Radicals for hoovering all the spray into my face, lovely display of how the aero works and nice drifting demo from the two trucks, fantastic! :-)

Hope the chaps who took the Ambulance home as a precaution are all ok, saw what was left of their car being unloaded- ouch!

Yup was a pleasurable day.

I was with the guys that got the Ambulance to the hospital; they are both fine.

More of a precaution as the passenger took a hefty whack on his head against the B pillar; which knocked him out for a few seconds.

I spent the morning trying my best to get some decent slide angles going, and then the afternoon being more serious with a dry line.

The Radicals through Craner curves, in the wet, amazing...

Good to know- thanks.

Yes, it was a tad moist early on, I had a small slide in the road car on the sighting lap trying to keep up with the "slow" pace car but those trucks where taking the biscuit- one passed me into turn one and I swear he was sideways all the way down to the old hairpin :-)

Great day! Love the Mk3 too.

Very greasy but lots of fun learning how the car slides in comparison to my Mk1.

Had a complaint made about me for overtaking a Caterham down Craners...I thought he lifted and pulled to the side to let me past, turns out not..So for that I'm sorry.

Glad the guys in the MG(?) are OK!

I think people where being extra cautious because of the weather, I moved over a couple of times there and others refused/didn't want to pass, I guess they felt it was too marginal...
(I can't argue with them as I later spun out of the old hairpin and ended up almost by the old bridge, oops!)

I guess things can look very different from another car but from my seat everyone was very well behaved.

Standards seemed fine to me.

The probs with Craner curves that day, there was only one dry line (afternoon).

When I being overtaken by the Rad's, I didn't move of my line (dry, normal).

If it was anything else passing I may have worried, but those things gripped fine in the wet!

Back to Brands for me in a few weeks.

Drive safely,
Kam
