Great day yesterday - and the opentrack free tuition, chocolate, donuts, tea and coffee experience is a good one - I'll be back again.

Saw you. Did not say hello.
Yeah it looked nice that Civic. Import only? How was the day?
Hi, yeah I remember seeing that impreza. The cars a Japanese FD2 CTR, imported by Litchfield Imports. Had a great day thanks, took it a bit easy as I was on semi-slicks, they actually turned out to be really good on a damp track, just took a while to get heat in to them in the morning biggrin

Had a fun day, met some nice peeps, did some nice driving.

My word was it slippy in the morning. Don't know if it was just my tyres but it took a long time to get them working.

Good news was that I found the snacks this time. They even had Tunnock's Tea Cakes thumbup

Looking forward to the opentrack pics going up.

Here are a couple of vids from the day:

It was good to meet some of you; it was the last track day for the S4 and we had lots of fun... 4 wheel drifts in the morning were rather splendid biggrin
It was my 1st time at Bedford. Once I knew my way around (including how to get back to the main entrance, which isn't immediately obvious when "stranded" in what feels like the middle of the circuit), found said donuts and found PH smilies I was pretty relaxed.

I learnt a fair bit:

A Tuscan can do a 180 in front of you for no reason
If your passenger door flies open whilst going sideways on the grass, your car will fill up with water. Clios hold quite a bit smile
If you have kebab issues report them early
The owner of the Shell garage is always happy to see you.
In the guest car park, have a gander inside the hanger for lots of Palmersport car pron

Hi Nixon1, I know we met briefly, was too busy having fun to meet too many other people I'm afraid but great day. I think my Z4 (mine was the convertible, not the coupe which was also there) is a little lardy for track work but was still a whole heap of fun. Sadly I've just had to collect it from the garage where it was receiving new dics, pads and a caliper after Monday...

And I entirely agree with the Tuscan and the Clio! Most impressed the Clio driver got it sorted and was driving by the end of the day though... Thought the Tuscan driver was very brave considering the conditions, definitely looked like a bit of a handful, saw him on the grass at least once.

Nice vids & good skills - didn't realise just how slippy it was. Have to say I didn't have any issues with traction after warming everything up - obviously wasn't trying hard enough

Cracking, thanks for the link.

Never cease to be amazed by how, when you're driving, feels like 500mph. When you look at the photos it looks more like I'm slowing for a zebra crossing or something! wink

Great pics - many thanks!

Particularly like the one of the river running across the corner - forgot just how wet it was in the morning!

Super slippery but fun day, I was in my 182...not the spinny water logged one; the slow blue one biggrin
