Hi all,
My daughter is a confirmed thrill seeker and in the summer came out on track with me at Goodwood. She left the car saying that she badly wanted some track time for herself.
So, can anyone recommend someone who provides 1:1 instruction for total novices plus a car for a day, on an interesting track within striking distance of the south east?
It did look at Mithril's Mini adventure, but it looks very…short. Not much track time. I'd like something similar but that lasts the day.

Depends on how much you want to spend.
I assume she has a licence....to drive, not to thrill!
How about sharing a track day with her through Book-a-track.com?
They provide:
The track booking
The car - Caterham R300, which they bring to/from the track
The fuel
The mechanics
The tyres
The instructor
In fact the entire package - you just turn up and drive the thing.
I suggest share it because the reality is that on a full 7 hour track day the driver needs breaks - about 15 minutes every half an hour - so if you don't mind hammering someone else's car, then it sort of "halves" the cost. if you see what I mean. And when she is not being instructed, or you aren't either, then you can passenger with each other. There will be plenty of other cars around to give you a feeling of speed, but not so many that either of you feels intimidated.
DO however read the bits about insurance excesses. If she is the one in a thousand woman who uses the mirrors to see backwards, then there shouldn't be a problem.......but checking her lippy at 120 mph on track is probably not a good idea, even if about to try to overtake a TVR driven by a rather cool guy (note, all TVR drivers are cool.....even Gruffalo)

Let's just say collisions on track days are very rare.
Anyway, we all know women can do three things at once.....as long as two of them aren't map reading and parking!
Boss Racing do a great hire service. They can book the track day for you, supply the car and its supplies. You even get a championship winning racing driver to teach you!
Plus all extras, like video and refreshments are included.
She could pick from a smaller caterham better suited to novices, to a R400 championship winning Caterham. Or even choose the radical which I think is a proper racecar!
