Destination Nurburgring trackdays in 2015. April,July & Sept
Discussion
All are telling fibs. It was gloriously sunny
Actually both days started terrible but ended well. After about 2pm today the track was really dry...and very grippy (apart from Berkwerk and the right turn at top of Flugplaz...even those were not too bad...probably about 5-10 mph slower than peak speed).
I was going to throw the towel in this morning, but Darren persuaded me to stay as his forecast was looking good for the afternoon. Glad I stayed...got some laps in the afternoon at 95% pace

Who was the poor sod in the Blue Saxo? Anyone on here?
The turbo one? First lap out wasn't it, saw him pull in! Was nice to see a Saxo.Hope he wasn't detained for too long, explaining where it happened.
I thought they had all been stolen and destroyed in the hot hatch series

The rather excellent Frozenspeed photos are up - here is the public gallery and you can see the weather was challenging at times but actually perfect later in the day:

Interesting reg number. Jochen is an excellent photographer-he does all of our events-RSR, really nice guy as well.
Hope the Saxo guy got the car sorted for his return trip.
You wouldn't believe it, but he patched it up, then went out, and crashed it again! Hope the Saxo guy got the car sorted for his return trip.
We saw it on the back of a transporter leaving Eds.
Had a fracture of my exhaust manifold at Anglesey last week. I have Croft in July, then the next time out is DN in July !..
I`d rather the fracture happen at Anglesey than on Day#1 of a 2-day ring trackday. I could have welded it out there, but now I`ve time to fix it properly (I hope )
Anyone else have a shakedown event booked before the ring, or is that your next trip ? It`s only 2 months away now.
