Good to hear everything is alright, these things happen. It was absolutely foul weather so very easy to happen.

I have a pic from the front with the recovery truck in it, mind if i post?

Absolutely - glad you and passenger were ok - always the main thing!

Whenever these things happen always better to look on the bright side. It can always be worse!

The weather was atrocious. I always enjoy a bit of sliding about but in those conditions I felt more like a passenger than I can ever remember, trying to accelerate even in 4th was like riding a bike with no handlebars!

Maybe we shouldn't post any pics of damage unless permission is given, good of you to check before posting smile

Here's a vid of a wet lap... It looks SO slow but it was so slippy!!

Glad both driver and passenger ok and hope the repair goes well. smile

Nice to meet you Sam and nice driving. We seemed to be out at different times but on the off chance did you get any footage of us in the Radical? Or don't you have a rear facing camera? wink
It was our second outing in the car and had a great morning. We called it quits when I felt hail come through the visor!

As you've been polite enough to ask...yep that's fine by me. Would ask if you could block the number plate.

I have loads of pics. Make me cringe every time I see them frown

Anyone know decent body shop ?

Cheers Ray and likewise! Lol, if I had any footage it'd only last about two seconds before you disappeared! You were probably pulling literally twice as much G as anything else smile Will check but don't think so I'm afraid..

I timed a what was one of my not quite so bad laps and with a passenger clocked a 2:27. Is this ok? Guessing I could knock off a couple of seconds with some track day tyres, then maybe another couple of seconds with a decent driver making a possible 2:23? Reason I ask is to try and give some of the R35 GTR's some competition! There's quite some healthy banter that goes on, thinking I could persuade one of the instructors to take mine out with good tyres then claim the time as my own;)

Afraid not but maybe you could call one of the bmw racers and ask them to recommend someone? They'd certainly be experienced smile

Don't worry about the damage, it's inly a car and a lot of people in similar positions haven't taken any insurance so you're one of the lucky ones..

Think of it this way:
You've been doing track days for 6 years and had one accident. Divide whatever it costs into 6 and it'll feel much bettersmile

Chin up mateysmilesmile

I know what youre saying Sam and appreciate the sentiment. To be fair I have a similar outlook on life ie focus on the positives.

Sometimes that can be a little difficult however as Im looking at 12-15K in bodywork. Lets hope there no damage to the engine or gearbox or chassis

Just watched some of your onboards mate! looks a right laugh.
caught myself flashing past a few times smile

regarding the BMW repair,
A.) god i feel for you.
B.) i'm based in kent and know good body shops, but they are very private, so complete unknown to main dealer.
