I'd suggest taking as many spares as you'd be able to change on the day.....it would be really annoying for you to have your day cut short because you didn't have spare spark plugs for example:

Tool kit
Spark plugs
Cable Ties
Jubilee clips
Spare brake pads if yours are on the way out
Trolley Jack
Axle Stands
Oil

Although you can probably do a trackday without taking ANY of the above, the more of that you have, the less likely you are to have to head home early because of a relatively easy fix which could be done at the track.

Indeed. I always take four spare tyres, various parts and fluids and a bootload of tools. Every time so far, it just means I spend fifteen minutes unloading it all out of the car at the start of the day, then another fifteen loading it back up at the end as I've never needed a single item beyond my torque wrench and pressure gauge! I'll keep taking it all though, because you've invested a fair few quid in the day so it'd be daft to be caught out by something simple.

Well it went really well yesterday and was very impressed with the capability of the car, even in the wet.
I took as much as I needed, i.e. oil, tools, pump. Luckily I didn't need any of them. thank you all for your help

TBH I always travel with pretty much anything I MIGHT need or even want.

Better to be looking at it than for it!

As I drive to/from trackdays at the minute, I invested in something like this from Home Bargains:

http://www.coopersofstortford.co.uk/src/gbase/coop...

Takes 5 mins to throw together when you arrive and same again to dismantle at the end of the day. Easily fits in the boot of the E30 with all the tools etc and provides you with a lockable place to keep everything.

Not particularly secure, but it means if someone tries to steal something, they will get noticed by someone if I'm not around. With a trolley jack, fluids, toolbox, lunch etc all in there it weighs a friggin' ton.

The link works fine for me, it's this lockable garden storage box:

Hmmmm scratchchin actually not bad. I never like unloading all of my stuff and just leaving it lying around in the paddock, it always looks messy and like it's asking to get lifted. I quite like this idea.
