I`m there next Monday, so I was looking myself.

The flat in 5th left, before the tricky braking and the right, then loooong left onto the main straight has gone, now been replaced by a slower left > right > left.

Apologies for the really bad `Ms Paint`.. laugh

Found this incar, watch from from 1 minute onwards.

Oh. Well, that's knackered probably the most challenging and exciting part of the lap. Why the hell have they done that?!

Thanks for the map and video, much appreciated. Very disappointing change though. If they wanted to put a chicane there to slow cars, it would have been far better if they'd stuck with the layout that was previously used in Palmersport. Can't upload any of my videos but here's one to give you an idea. You lose the high-speed left but the back complex remains challenging, rather than just a plain long 180 left...

Had a good day myself other than the que to get on track and people pushing in. Also the White C63 AMG estate driver, wow he lacked driving ability and track day etiquette.

Here's a bit of onboard footage in my m135i, I have more yet to upload. Please ignore my spin at the beginning due to me failing to remeber tyres are cold after you haven't driven on the track for an hour!!

I managed a 2min 59sec lap which was good, think I could of gone a little quicker without all the traffic.

Car looked quick mate! Did you hear us calling it a three wheeler. Back wheel was off the ground by about 4 inch!!

What power is it, surely not just 172bhp?

Think I'm booking the bedford trackday on the 28th March aswell!!

Laughed at the first corner.... laugh not in a mean way. I'd warned my son about it when we were there last year, as you can see, he didn't listen.. laugh
Matt's first corner moment at Bedford 16th June: https://youtu.be/qagXG0LFrtY

Nice smooth driving, like the camera angle, but I reckon it'd be better if you could lift it an inch or 2, then angle it down a fraction. Sometimes, you can't see the track from that position.

Doesn't that timing app annoy you with the red / green flashing bar!!

Tell me about it, I wish I had the skill to recover it instead I kept the foot planted and went for the 360 option and accelerate off again.

Yeh I thought the camera was a tad to low. It's on a headrest mount and that's as high as I could get it without buying a longer pole that attaches to it.

I don't even no the app is running whilst im driving and in the "zone" so it's ik. It's harys lap timer which is the first time I've used it. Highly recommend it.

Correct you are!! First time I've ever done it to be honest and it was fun timing, for me it made the day more fun as I was trying better lines to improve the time without being silly.

It was always there and the marshals didn't seem to fussed about it.

Well since any smartphone can run a logging App, various cars have their own logging and the more professional guys run various racelogic tyoe systems it is virtually unenforceable.

Hell, the only reason I didn't do it was that I forgot to get the app sorted out before the day. wink

Anyway having looked at some of my better laps I managed to do a 3:23 which I was really pleased with, knocked an absolute ton of time off my earlier laps and had a lot more fun too.

Video featuring the PH stickered MX-5 is here:

Anyone know what happened to the blue M135i that was stranded at the first corner out of the SEN layout pits? I saw it parked up in the infield with rollers under the rear wheels, hope it was nothing too serious.

Engine wise its standard and just approaching 120k miles!! Few suspension upgrades, cage & seats etc. It does feel really strong though and compared to other 172/182s I do tend to pull on them on a long straight. Thanks for sharing vid and nice spin on the 1st lap :-)

Tempted by the 28th too.....

Unfortunately the M135i had a failed injector causing the engine to flood with fuel which locked the engine causing it to throw the con rod through the side of the engine. So it is pretty terminal.

Wow, that's really bad news, I was thinking maybe a blown gearbox which would have been bad enough.

Hi guys , not posting on here a lot but thats my 2p .. Day was great weather wise but as most of you mentioned the queue was a bit frustrating ,ive got a footage all of my runs and there were like 15 min queue at one point . Otherwise it was great day without major problems...Except the brake fluid overheating and getting flat brake pedal after longer straights and dip stick popping out spilling the oil over the engine bay.
Had some good friendly scramble with some of the similar powered cars. I was in silver Evo6. It was more of a test day for me as i had new suspension fitted and was playing with bump/rebound adjustments to get the sweet spot through the day on my KW V3s . Eventually 2nd part of the day i got an optimal setting to have fun with. I can share my videos if you like , probably got most of cars on them during the day.

BTW i'm sorry for a fella with black CSL saw him at the tyre wall , hopefully is all repairable for him..
