Yes Karl, read that quite a few times, also tried arguing the point with "The highly informed onw"who has always insisted that it is a grey area on the grounds that it is not an autobahn ie, dual carriageway.
So just to keep on the right side I also asked a local polizei (freundlisch version) and he told me the same, so I natural ly took it as read
Intetesting read the section on photography btw.)
Are you picking up a hessisch dialekt? So just to keep on the right side I also asked a local polizei (freundlisch version) and he told me the same, so I natural ly took it as read

To the OP, has anyone said don't crash yet? And watch out for Adenauer (PHer included!), Kallenhard, Miss Hit Miss and Brünnchen. These are the corners that first timers seem to get quite wrong. Drive it as an unknown B road and you will have fun.
My first 2 laps were in a SEAT Leon in the pissing rain and I had a great time with my brother who also did his first 2 in the same conditions.
I think it was advised. In the conditions you describe was Exmuhle exciting, likewise the braking point after Lauder for Bergwerk, bet Bergwerk was gute ya?:
As for the acshent, trying to lose one eshpecishially.Im not tight fisted either

Kallenhard was the worst corner. Huge understeer even though I was pootling around and a lot tighter than I though. I still hate that corner in the wet. Ex-Mühle wasn't bad as I didn't have enough power for it to be scary!
Don't worry about the accent. Most people think I come from Holland or the Danish boarder which is quite funny. That is until I have had a few too many and the Englisch accent is very noticable (so I have been told)

The poor attempt in Dutch was really only for Karl, he knows who it aimed at-no one on though.)Don't worry about the accent. Kallenhard can be a bit tricky though.

Kallenhard is for me the most challenging corner at the Ring, and given how many there are it's no mean feat. I really can't explain why but I seem to get it wrong irrespective of car, conditions or speed. I'm a fairly carp driver though.
I lost it at Kallenhard last time I was there, sadly the GoPro had stopped so I didn't get to review what happened. My friend who was with me explained that it was the camber change on the exit that caught me out in the mildly damp conditions. Fortunately no damage, but it definitely took me by surprise as I wasn't pushing at all.Edited by ukkid35 on Saturday 9th May 11:49

Really? why? its pretty slow, just turn in nice & late, appreciate the armco is close but its not really tricky, flugplatz buiding up to going flat or near flat in something quick which is 120 odd mph & blind or SX as you can have huge one there at 150mph+, or down DH & under bridge on a track day taking what is a straight & flat section at 80mph on a regular tf day to 140+mph in a normal car or 180+ in somat v fruity on a track day & its suddently a corner not a staight is a lot lot more scary.ukkid35 said:

Haven't been able to reply on this thread for a few days, issues with my phone. But as doogalman says , itissuedone of the most difficult corners on the circuit.Same old temptation of turning in too early causes most problems (youtube bend for instance). The dot will hopefully help.

Just returned went out on Thursday having only previously done 1 lap in my GT-R last May and only ever driven it twice.
Set myself as a novice a 10 minutes time, but was into 8's by end of day put about 15+ laps in total. Great day, only 2 closures for less than 45 mins a time. Saw a Manta and Noble that had broke down but in safe spots so track remained in use.
Chap called Chris took me out in his GT-R what an eye opener from someone with knowledge and ability absolutely insane! weather was kind as well sunny all day long.
Strange how as the day went I was learning the track but it was actually the morning after I felt I could remember the track in my mind. Really enjoyed it can't wait to go again.
