Had a fun day yesterday. Was fun talking to some new people and making my gf sick after 2 laps of her first trackday :P

Hope the bloke and his wife were ok in the Merc. Heard they went off at "Gas Canister" corner at 110 mph due to brake failure.

I'll get my videos uploaded this week.

Was a good day.

The lotus cortina was lovely and very quick, as was the mental little AX GT.

RKi, good looking laps. What power and torque are you running? Your gearbox seems very short gearing much like my brother's Extreme RS450. Shame we weren't there to join in the fun this time.

I had the boost maxed out in that video which produces about 460 bhp and 450 ft lbs. Thats a standard Evo 6 5 speed gearbox. God knows what the ratios feel like in an RS!

Should be a pretty even match. My brother is running 485 bhp but I think slightly less torque than you but not by much.

His brakes are big and he's doesn't half chuck it about!

Oh dear! I hope they were OK. I did wonder what had happened. The petrol attendant said the Merc had solid rear brakes and guessed severe brake fade, looked like the airbags had deployed when we went passed too!

Just watched your vid. Some pace your car has, think you'd have got passed that GT3RS if you hadn't locked up just then!

Annoyingly i never saw that car on track again all day. It certainly had more grip out of the chicane than me, guess that's the difference between 315 and 235 rears.

I only saw it once too! In the morning, I overtook it at about the same point that you had that lock up.

I thought it was a great day with excellent track manners all round from everybody.

J-P ...were you the guy with the brakes at all four corners smoking away when you came back into the pits? If so, good effort!

Yes that was me! Remembered to do cool down laps after that! Car felt really good though, had a great time and agree that driving standards were excellent by and large.

ETA - were you the chap with the lovely black, tricked up E92 M3 or the chap who saw me come into the pits (didn't see what car you had).

Heres a good video, me in E46 M3, standard bushes, standard anti roll bar, interior removed coming out of pits to see the black E9x M3,
missed chicane on purpose due to cold tyres grip came in from lap 2 onwards.

My first ever dry track day in the UK in this car.

Then the blue M5, then a RS4 then Redish Saxo
