one driver, two cars
Discussion
Most TDOs will frown on you just alternating cars all day, in fact most would not allow it if you have only booked one slot. If everyone did this they would only be able to book the number of entries that the circuit will allow on track at one time and entry costs would double.
Taking a spare in case of breakage or swapping once during the day is rarely an issue though.

Based on this, am I correct in saying that you can have one driver with two cars OR you could have one car with two drivers?
Because if that is possible, could you have two drivers with two cars? (Obviously not on track at the same time)
That sounds like getting a track day for half price in your own car. OK you would only get a maximum of half a day on track but that's about what it works out as for most of us any way. Can't see any TDO allowing it.Because if that is possible, could you have two drivers with two cars? (Obviously not on track at the same time)

I don`t agree Steve. People know I like to be out lapping when the circuit is open, but I doubt even I`d be happy to drive a car, come into the pits then go straight out in the other, alternating all day !Taking a spare in case of breakage or swapping once during the day is rarely an issue though.
Only time I tend to come in is to give myself a break or let my passengers out Having a `spare` car there wouldn`t make the slightest difference to the amount of laps I do on a typical trackday to be honest.

Never a problem with us, you can only drive one at a time.
:-)
As for the tow car it depends on what it was.
M5 = yes
L200 = Ha ha ha ( no )
I was just curious but it may be fun to give the X5 a quick blast :-)

My question was based around doing the usual in the M3 but if the weather is nice I would give my 911 hairdresser spec C4S a quick test
Nige, I know what you mean and it's all a numbers game but you can see from the posts on where what happens; "if we can have two cars, can we have an extra driver with that?" etc, if it's widespread then we either end up with queues or higher prices for everyone.
The way the OP first asked the question I'd be a bit dubious about it, the way he has now detailed what he wants I'd have no problems.

Yep we have a few customers with two cars quiet often with no issues as long as they let us know what is going on.
For example we have a customer with a lovely old Alfa and his two car is a Subaru WRX so it it rains he will swap over cars or use the WRX in the afternoon.
Another example is a customer with a low loader who has both a WRX and a radical and he will swap over at various points in the day , or if it rains the radical wil just stay on the truck :-)
As long as the TDO knows what is going on I don't se a issue
