Anyone else going? I'll be there in my Clio 182 keeping out of the way of the faster stuff, which in reality means almost everything wink

I’ll be there in my silver Evo. A friend is also going in his Mk2 Golf.

Is the Mk2 golf the orange one that got towed. Is it ok?

It looks like a bolt has sheared on the crank. He said it was part of the distributor pick-up, now blanked off.
New bottom end time!

That's a shame, on plus side if it wasn't already a 2.0 now is the time for a 2E swap.

Sorry to hear that, did wonder what had happened to it.

Those civics were a bit quick, then again a lot of things seem pretty quick when you're in a 182 wink

Great day all in all, usual jostling from the race teams who were doing the setup work but other than that and one person who just would not be overtaken by a Clio I had a lot of fun smile

My group had the FN2 and EK4 black civics, and the Standard Black Clio 172. I didn't take my 206 out.

Clio's are fast! Which one was yours? I'd have stopped by to say hi, but there were a few about and I couldn't be sure.

I noticed your group's 172, very tidy. Certainly noticed the black civs too, pretty rapid.

I was there with a friend in his caterham r500, stupidly quick car smile

We did watch your one, was going very well! My Clio pal intended to come over for a chat, not sure if he had time in the end.

The civics were pretty quick yeah! Good fun. Itching to get out on track myself now. That R500 was rapid! Hell of an induction roar too.

I tell you though, I've NEVER seen such a busy trackday at Combe. Even for a pre race bank holiday session it was packed.

Thanks, I had a lot of fun smile

I didn't get to talk to many people, meant to try and find some people from a few forums but was too wrapped up with trying to get as much track time as possible. Was my first time at Combe and I really enjoyed it, nice mix of high speed and technical stuff. Wouldn't mind a bit more run-off though, not much room if you cock it up!

Yes, his R500 d'Italie is super quick...though not as quick as the ADR3. The ADR3 owner took me out for a passenger run, it is blisteringly quick and not for the faint hearted. I have never been around Combe as quick as this in any car, ever...and certainly not as a passenger. We were hitting 134mph in places we shouldn't have been...for those of you who know the circuit it is very, very fast.
