Sports/ Performance cars you rarely see on a trackday

I track my Mk1 MR2 as often as possible! (Which is only about four times a year unfortunately.) It's brilliant on track, very well balanced and it's had a cheap brake upgrade to MR2 Turbo parts which is sensational. I have seen a few others on trackdays as well.
I have never seen a Cerbera or (bizarrely) an Ultima on track. I know that people do use them, but not often enough for my liking.
I have seen three Cerberas on track, two regularly throughout the year, and one on his first TD in the rain at Brands Hatch last December. With normal road tyres on he was pretty quick. But then I would see them, as us TVR owners tend to hunt in packs, like the MX5 brigade. Photo to follow....
Still not seen an Ultima on track.

I see plenty of quick vx220's on track - often passing their lotus cousins
I don't remember seeing many boxsters on track - I'd have thought they would do pretty well as a track car?

And in the wet too. Brilliant trackday car - phenomenal balance, tons of grip, great engine. Brakes are just fine straight out the box (dry as well as wet). Best backed in a little on a trailing throttle to get it to rotate through the apex
Only thing I didn't like was a bit of an apetite for rear tyres, though that was massively improved by going to bridgestone s02's rather than pilot sports (ps's great on road, but too soft/melted on track). Probably the steal of the century given used prices.

Better on AD08's - it did seem to use the rears (Falken 453) road tyres very quickly.
Although I still prefer my 944..

Hillman Imp!!! My father used to rally one - would you believe it's rear engine/rear wheel drive
I wonder if that one might be mid-engined! It looks like the rear wheels have been moved a long way back.deadscoob said:
Ultimas. Only ever seen one other on track.
Havent seen on and oddly just one noble which didn't last that long had the bonnet open most of the day at rockingham a few months back. You can almost predict which cars in the paddock will be still going around at the end of the day the more expensive the car the less it goes out.
