Unusual track day cars?

I recently did a trackday at Castle Combe in this bad boy!

It was only to learn the circuit in preparation for my race the week after but I had an absolute blast in it.

It couldn't handle more than 15 minute sessions though, with thick black smoke pouring from the brakes when I came in - I must say the brakes didn't fade at all!

Additionally, despite the eco tyres spending all day screeching away, they weren't scrubbed in at all and you'd never have guessed they'd spent a day on track looking at them!

Last weekend there was a Range Rover Evoque hooningn around Blyton Park rolling around all over the shop, that was one I've not seen before.

Few months ago a 2CV at Cadwell Park, although that was in a 2CV race series so not that unusual. Think he rolled it too.

that's quite hard to do, guess hit hit something? CoG is very low with a 2CV.

On one of my first track days I was overtaken in the very wet by a Range Rover on the outside, using the wet line obviously. I was in my Esprit and I was squirrelling all over the place trying to keep it in a straight line, which I manage but it was not graceful...

Think my 330i Estate counts as unusual, did the Sunday Service at Silverstone but it broke it's trackday cherry at the Green hell.

Saw a Volvo V60 estate today at Brands, the Polestar version.

It did a lot of laps and was quick, it's also far more Q car then the German types of cars.

Aston Martin Vanquish at a track day also today - seems like they were doing a shoot for James Bond as one track marshall described it to me,hmm, but far more likely someone won a fandabydozzy MSV prize to do some laps with a driver. This picture will keep my marshall happy though

I saw a Bentley Arnage at Castle Combe - I'm pretty sure the guy driving it had a three piece suit on too! I can only imagine how much fuel it'd be getting through!
