Seeing as the event is at the end of September I`m also taking Michelin Wets for heavy rain. Toyo R1R`s for drizzle, Pilot Sport Cups for cool but Dry and Slicks for conditions like every other DN I`ve driven
Whilst I will have tyres for any weather conditions apart from Snow, that doesn`t mean I`m not hoping for a warm sunny day
I have an extensive choice, from my spring/summer/autumn/winter tyre wardrobe of new Michelin PS2s. They work well in the rain, but I am really hoping to see conditions more suited to PS Cup 2s!Whilst I will have tyres for any weather conditions apart from Snow, that doesn`t mean I`m not hoping for a warm sunny day
FWIW, Terry's posted up on the 911uk thread regarding meeting for dinner at PK.

Main aims for the trip.
Enjoy the car
Do some laps of the 'Ring - a bucket list thing
Do not crash
Do not get in anyone's way
Do not think about setting lap times
DO NOT CRASH
TBH, I'm not even sure about putting a GoPro in the car - it's not the sort of place where I want to be doing laps that look good on camera (everything looks slower and less spectacular on video anyway!) on a first visit.
Admirable aims, but I would take issue with your GoPro concerns. It's not just about vanity, there is a real value in being able to review footage with other people and get coaching on things that may not have gone quite right.Enjoy the car

Contrary to the Millennials you don't actually have to share every second of your day online, you are your own editor.
Good point, worth considering.
I actually do t know how I will find returning to track days, the car (on track) and the whole 'Ring experience. It may be - because it's certainly on my bucket list - something I do once, or it could be something I want to repeat and, either way it's probably worth having some video to review.

I got a lot of enjoyment out of watching my first trackday video back, and it certainly helped speed up my learning process. I had no compulsion to tell the world.
Perhaps you might consider winding your neck in a bit.

Erm. Isn't that a bit unnecessarily ranty and assumptive?

I'm glad Digga took my comments in the spirit they were intended, I'm sorry you interpreted them as ranting.I got a lot of enjoyment out of watching my first trackday video back, and it certainly helped speed up my learning process. I had no compulsion to tell the world.

You got the wrong end of the stick there and came over all aggressive for no good reason. I got a lot of enjoyment out of watching my first trackday video back, and it certainly helped speed up my learning process. I had no compulsion to tell the world.

UKKid was suggesting Digga DOES go ahead and video his laps.
A week to go ! Golf is ready, washing it today and then loading up onto the trailer. It`s much more enjoyable when you don`t have to do the any last minute rushing around with a day or two to go
If you are lucky, Nige, and I mean VERY lucky, this high pressure 'Matthias' which is currently bringing us sunshine, and at the weekend 25°c and sunshine, will last well into next week!
If it lasts until the end of next week then a certain bow legged, Mexican, fop haired Dwarf, has to be the luckiest man on the planet.

You could try contacting doogalman, he may have rooms available at his B&B.
Staying with Roy & Kim was the high point of my last trip to the Ring to retrieve my broken Cerb. They fed us and stayed up half the night entertaining us, which we really needed.Been back since and stayed at Ring-Race-Flats, very posh and convenient but it's a bit above my pay grade. I'm more of a Hotel An Der Nordshleife type, having stayed there perhaps a dozen times. However I'll be in a villa sleeping 8 next week, which makes so much more sense when staying with family and friends.
