If anybody is after a properly spec'd 2zz track/race car I know of a VERY well spec'd 2zz mr2 coming up for sale but it will be priced accordingly - although still a lot less than the build price!
Let me know too...

What brake set ups are people using on their MR2 Roadsters?

I think mine is due a brake overhaul this spring, currently standard, with fluid changed (possibly for the first time) in 2014. However the brake pedal went soft after a few track sessions and only improved slightly after bleeding.

I'd recommend fully changing the fluid again before upgrading anything, bleeding can only do so much...

Here is mine

Full spec list is getting quite long now but main modifications are; 2ZZ-GE Engine swap, Underbody brace, Cusco front strut brace, Federal RSR's, Eliseparts sump, 6 speed box, 4.529 final drive, LSD, custom induction, Zorstec 4-1 manifold, 100cel cat, P&P half cage, Willans harnesses, Monaco Pros, BC Coilovers, BattleVersion rose jointed rear arms, polybushed front arms, Carbon front pads, braided hoses. Goes and handles nicely.
I love this - does it have it's own thread somewhere?

Thank you, I have a thread which gives an overview of the build up until back end of last year over on MR2 Roadster Owners Club, hopefully this link works

http://mr2roc.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=88&t=...

Car is currently in pieces again, I'm fitting the front section of the cage so the dash and harness are out. Whilst this is going on I'm putting together a lightweight heating system, push button start, switchable ABS etc and have stripped all the redundant wires out of the harness (circa 3kg worth!)

Unfortunately you need to be logged in to see it. Looks a great car though, would love something like that myself.
