Turning up on the day

I know this question can't be answered with any degree of certainty, but I'm thinking of rocking up to Silverstone in the morning to try and get on track! Very lastminute.com haha!!

It says full, but is it normal that that they might have a few places space from 'no shows'?

If you have nothing better to do, why not give it a try. Even if there are no spaces early in the day, some may become available later!

Ring the track day organiser and see if you can get yourself put on the reserve list - then call them again the day before to see what progress is.
You'd be amazed how many book their events well ahead and then find that the car isn't working in time.

Done it myself - booked a TD for two weeks after an engine change, and failed the MOT on chassis rust a week before the TD. Got a transferrable credit, some other lucky chap had my space.

I've done afternoon sessions by just turning up before. There's always someone broken their car by lunch!

Cheers everyone! I went to Silverstone on Sat morning and got a place! Had an amazing day doing about 200 miles on track in 1 day!! It was wet in the morning and dried out after lunch so got to explore the 911 in both conditions
