Fit new (track/race type) pads and follow the manufacturers advice. I seem to remember Ferodo had bed in instructions included or may be it was on their website.
Normally I go out for a short stint and work them fairly well for half a dozen laps whilst warming myself up for the day too. Then come in for a cool down, after that they're all good to go

You certainly don't need to do anything like 200 miles to bed them in.
It is normally something like:
10 x moderate braking, do NOT stop, cool down, 10 x hard braking, do NOT stop, couple of full on emergency brakes. cool down & then good to go.
Don't quote me on the above, refer to the manufacturer of the pads, but basically after 1 hour at the most you will be fully bedded in.

Don't be surprised though to find you have to bed everything in again if the car hasn't been driven for several months. Mine running RS29s has always been like this, takes a good session or two for me to get comfortable with the pads biting hard when you want and releasing nice and smoothly when you need em to.
I was worried about this too when I changed my disc and pads recently as they had quite prescriptive instructions which basically required constant dabbing of the brakes in the initial bedding phase.
I had a chat with the TD organiser and went out last one in the group on the sighting laps so I could do the procedure without getting in the way or annoying others, it worked quite well.

I always bed new pads in within about 10 mins pretty much as above- some moderate stops to get heat into pads and then 3 full on hard stops from 50 to zero, then they are as hot as you will get them. Drive off and allow to cool or park up and allow to go cold. I have a private test road near my house at night just for this. Always worked for me, you don't want to bed in over 200m. Have used this advice on mintex pagid etc etc.
You can also do it on older pads that have stood unused for some time to get life back in them I find when they go glazed or dead
