  • Title should be: 265/35/18

Yay or nay?

I've been contemplating going square for track days and have found a set of wheels 9.5" F, 10.5" R

I was hoping to give the Nakang AR1s a go in 265/35/18. Nakang say 9.5" rim, but most tyre charts say 265 is minimum tyre width for a 10.5" rim.

The bonus of the 10.5, is being able to move to 295/30/18 rears when they are released, if I find that the square setup isn't for me.

From experience they will look stretched on a 10.5 inch rim. I had 265s on a 10" rim and they were borderline.
9.5 sounds ok to me. In fact 9" is probably right but if that's what Nankang say...
