Had an excellent evening with an almost empty track at times due to low numbers.
Anyone else there last night? Was in my blue mr2.my friend was in the mk1 Cortina. Donnington was a bit fast for the old mr2 which is only 138bhp but it was enjoyable keeping the speed up where possible

It was a superb evening, I've never seen such an empty track. Shame about the closures late on though.

I was in the white 205 GTi.

hi Sam
likewise, was brill. i was chasing you at one point in the mr2 roadster (blue). did you get flagged for noise late on?
my friend was in the white mk1 cortina, had an issue with a wiring loom short (nearly caused a fire) but all sorted. the alternator had vibrated loose, and caused an internal full short.

The MR2 was going really well! Yes I got black flagged for noise late on - very unusual as the car breezes through noise tests normally with db's in the 80s, but I guess its louder at full chat.

Sounds like a lucky escape with the Cortina!

Very lucky. Jumped out and hit battery isolator which saved it.
I need a bit more uumph and the mr2 would be the perfect trackday car. Carries lots of corner speed though and fabulous on the brakes.
