also found how to sync the GoPro video into it.
Hi - can you expand on this please? Sounds like something interesting...
No worries:

This is what it will look like (on a Mac). Ensure the files are space delimited if you're using a Mac, tabs only work on a PC for some reason.

It works OK, however synching it properly is another matter. I'm probably going to write a little app to do this as fiddling with the data in a spreadsheet is very time consuming.

I believe you can combine a GPX with any video in Garmin's edit software
It doesn't seem to work, at least not with GPX files created by HLT. It also won't work with the VBO format (VBOX Sport doesn't create GPX unfortunately). I suspect Virb Edit needs GPX files originated from a Garmin device, or does anyone know how to convert VBO to GPX that works with Virb Edit?

Hi, sorry to jump in here - but I'm after some advice that is related. I want to set up 3 cameras in a rally car, I have GoPro's hero4's, is there a way of controlling and powering them together - rather than having to start each one..... I also want to record audio from the intercom system. Regards Martin

I`m not sure you can do that with GoPro`s. It`s a big failing of them imo.

Great quality but you can`t remotely power and start them like many other cameras. The mode you need is the `Dashcam` made, set it to that and usually when power is applied it charges it and starts recording at the same time.

The wifi remote will switch on and start up to 10+ cameras simultaneously. I did it with 2 - had the power hard-wired so the wifi being on didn't drain them over the course of a day and started/stopped with the remote.

I thought it was also possible with the GoPro API and there are apps which can control GoPro recording along with GPS logs etc. I haven't tried it though.

only to a single camera - the only way to control multiple cameras simultaneously is with the wifi remote.

I've been trying to solve this problem for a while.

I can't get Go Pro wifi to stay on reliably.

I have been using a combination of Harry's Lap Timer, Go Pro 5 and a Dual external GPS receiver which produces nice looking videos to be fair: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p1VIaARsVM4

However, it's a faff. I've got to put my phone in a holder every time I get in and out of the car, connect power, wait for it to be ready, make sure the camera wifi connection is working etc. etc.

I've decided to give up and buy a Vbox Lite, which is great for driver training on track and if I want to put videos on youtube later, I can just combine Vbox footage with Go Pro footage.
