We will be there in a (hired) Caterham C400S........after my son "broke" my R300 last weekend at Brands.

I was booked in for this, was looking forward to it, but a misfire means an engine check. I had to cancel the day. At least it's with RMA, it will be better than last weeks track day by the sound of it. AND you can overtake either on side. Have fun. You lucky buggers.

....and it was nice!

Weather as good as it is going to get in December - ie overcast with ambient 6/7 deg. Track had grip but the low temps meant until you got some heat in the tyres it felt mildly greasy. But once temps were up, full of grip.

Threatened to rain a few times but subsided.

Although it was fully booked, I didn't notice any queues or traffic issues.

Quite a few red flags though. I was sharing the drive with a friend and so coincidentally none of the red flags happened when I was on circuit so not sure whether the low temps were catching people out or mechanical issues. Didn't spoil the day for me though.

Looking at the videos even managed to set a personal best at Silly so I'd say perfect conditions biggrin

Managed a 2.09 in my radical, track temp was cold though but did get some grip once tyres were warmed up a bit...

That's going some - have only managed a 2:28 during the height of summer with semi slicks and a very track focused E30 M3.

Wow smile
I assume on slicks? Would love to see a data trace to see where the delta is greater.

The Xbow combo of aero and gearing means it doesn't do more than 136 on hanger straight and generally starts to hit a wall at 120ish. Need to do something about that smile

That sounds very good for an E30. I managed to get an E46 (mostly Road car but with brakes and suspension mods) round in 2:31. As always there is always something left on the table!

Took the Focus out for the first track exploit. Was a good day, and like many said, decent conditions. Only did a couple of full on flying laps to save the tyres, but best of 2:33.3. Should have pushed for a couple more as I didn't realise the Honda 'official fastest lap' set in the Type R was a 2:31.95 (and timed to some slightly questionable timing lines...).

Experimented with Harry's Laptimer overlays on to GoPro video which worked pretty well:

02:24:80 in the Caterham C400S, should have been below 02:20 but we were struggling to learn the GP circuit.
