Anyone else heading over to Oulton Park on Saturday 28th?

Will be there with a few mates bringing Lotus, AMG, and Subaru power, in addition to my MINI diesel cabrio... wobble

You were going very well mate. Every time I came over you were out on track.

That M2 and A45 AMG weren't catching you!

Sorry I missed you - where were you watching from?
Yep, unless letting the brakes cool or heading into town for a fill of diesel (averaged 15 mpg) I was indeed out on track enjoying the day, top down whenever possible.
Had great fun with my mates in their M2, A45 AMG & flame-spitting Subaru while showing them the lines. biggrin
Having checked the weather forecast, decided to leave the daily driver Michelin CrossClimates on rather than bring the Yoko AD08Rs this time, and they turned out to be the perfect choice for conditions ranging from standing water during the heavy showers to a drier greasy line at best.
Plenty of faster cars out, but most were on the wrong rubber - Federals, 888's and AO48s etc. throughout the paddock from what I saw while walking around, so the diesel MINI convertible on balloon 205/55 all-seasons ended up quicker than many of them.
The TVR Tuscan racer was great to follow through a few corners watching it hang its tail out - I make it 10 dabs of oppo once past us slower cars in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F0vWms97Few&fe...
Used up half my front brake pads, but the Michelin CrossClimates were no more worn than when they arrived - superb tyre for the conditions. Will be interesting to see how they stand up to a dry trackday later this year.
Until the next time back at Oulton. biggrin
