I would consider a day with Mark at Drive Limits
II have watched him take a V8 Mustang driver who was terrified of it to someone who by the end of the day was really enjoying the Mustang
The advantage with Mark is there is nothing to hit or other cars trying to over take

Reviving an old thread

My wife is too nervous to drive the 360, she is daunted by her perceptions about the complexity to work it, the power and the cost of making a mistake.

I think it would help if she did a good super car experience on a track ( know she likes going around corners fast!)

Can anyone recommend something where she will start with a decent instructor but have an experience where she is encouraged to "drive" not slow down, a Palmer Sport day will be too expensive, I am thinking £150-300 for perhaps a couple of hours.
You are not going to get 2 hours in anyone's car, super car or not for £150 to £300 if you have any expectations of "driving" it. You can make the experience stretch to 2 or more hours but not the driving.

I've done a few driving experiences at Thruxton (as an ex track day driver) and have never been asked to slow down... brake! maybe but not slow down...

Why wouldn't you just take her out on a novice trackday (limited laps, small groups, brake boards, driver coaches) in your 360?

The point is, she is nervous to drive my car. Driving something similar with an instructor will help give her confidence. Obviously it can’t be me because having been married for 30 years she doesn’t listen to anything I say.

Surely the best way to get her comfortable with your car is to drive your car?

Doing it in safe/controlled circumstances must be the best way to get the outcome you want.

I'm just not sure what you achieve by having her drive a completely different car?

I guess I'm still confused at the hesitation to have her drive your actual car.

If the goal is to increase her confidence in driving your car, then surely having her drive your car somewhere with less risk of damage is the answer?

If you can't even get her into the driving seat of your car, do you think this problem can really be solved?
